Facility Use
The Scottish Rite Masonic Center of Newport News (NNSR) provides a diverse set of impressive facilities for public and private functions complete with a variety of furnishings and amenities. Space use agreements include an 8 hour time-frame for your preferred room and includes both round and rectangular tables and folding chairs. We have caterers, decorators, florists, bands, DJs and photographers that we can recommended to you as well.

Auditorium
Our Auditorium is a classic amphitheater style which is recommended for formal presentations, wedding ceremonies, graduations, seminars, speaking engagements, concerts, and drama performances. The Auditorium has twelve rows of tiered seating which offer permanent seating for 400 people.
Social Hall & Kitchen
Our Social Hall is the recommended space for wedding receptions, large social gatherings, holiday parties, or corporate events. The Social Hall has seating capacity for 385 guests.
This space includes the use of 72-inch round (12) and 8-foot rectangle (28) tables, and folding chairs to suit your needs. In addition to our basic rental, we also have add-on packages which can include linens, serving and decorating needs as well as setup and cleanup packages. Ask about those options when visiting the facility.
Masonic Center Facilities
We have two Scottish Rite Rooms which are the recommended space for smaller weddings, award ceremonies, graduations or discussions. This room offers an elegant space with spacious seating for either 156 or 80 people. No food is permitted in either of the Scottish Rite Rooms.

This is not a simple question but we can give you some basics. Price of room + $250 Refundable Security Deport + add-on options that you choose = Total Rent - $200 non-refundable deposit = Balance Due (30 days prior)

Absolutely! You may puchase addtional 1 hour increments. Half day rentals are available for the night before if the facility is not already booked.

Table set-up is an option with one of our add-packages. Ask about this option when meeting with the facility coordinator.

The room must be returned to its original state when you leave. If you do not have the time or manpower, we do offer this service with one of our add-on packages. Ask about this option when meeting with the facility coordinator.

The rooms must be returned to its original state when you leave. If you do not have the time or manpower, we do offer two levels of service as one of our add-on packages. Option one would include sweeping of the social hall, vacuuming the foyer if needed and taking the trash to the dumpster. The second option would include a complete cleaning of the room and taking down the tables. Cleaning of the kitchen is the responsibility of your caterer but is offered as an add-one package if requested.

We do not. We do have a variety of items which you can rent from us to make decorating easier for you. Renting from the Scottish Rite not only helps the non-profit organization continue it’s work in the community but also makes it easier on you. No more having to lug items from a rental store to your venue (and back again). We will have the items you have rented in the social hall waiting for you upon your arrival and then at the end of the event, you can simply leave them for us to take care of.

There is a $200 refundable deposit required to secure your date. The remaining fees are due 30 days prior to your event.

Yes you may. You will be required to obtain your liquor license and provide that license # to us 10 days prior to your event. A $250 refundable deposit is also required along with security to be present, The cost of security is based on actual cost from our security company.
